The Burgundian Wars (1474–1477) were a series of conflicts between the Burgundian State and the Old Swiss Confederacy, supported by its allies. The war began in 1474, and in 1476, the Swiss achieved a decisive victory over Duke Charles the Bold of Burgundy at the Battle of Murten on 22 June, marking a turning point in the conflict.
